UK Curriculum Pack: English, Maths, Science, Computing (Year 1 to Year 13)
1. What this pack covers
Writing out every year group, subject and board in full would mean more than 300 separate documents. This pack does three things instead:
- Gives a full curriculum outline for every year and subject. It covers topics, the order to teach them in, and learning objectives.
- Maps every exam board's qualification for each subject. This includes specification codes, how each qualification is assessed, and where the boards differ.
- Includes complete example materials and predicted papers. These have mark schemes and show the format, so the same template can be used to build further papers.
Verify before use: specification codes and assessment details are as I understand them in 2026. Boards revise their specifications often. Recent changes include the "Made-for-Wales" GCSEs (first teaching 2025 onwards), AQA GCSE Computer Science moving to 8525, and Edexcel GCSE CS 1CP2. Always check against the official board specification and its latest "summary of changes".
2. Where each board applies: years against boards
| Year (England/Wales) | NI year | Scotland equivalent | AQA | Edexcel (Pearson) | OCR | WJEC / Eduqas | CCEA | SQA |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

| Y12 | Y13 (AS) | S5 (Higher) | AS/A level | AS/A level | AS/A level | AS/A level | AS (counts towards the A level) | Higher |
| Y13 | Y14 (A2) | S6 (Advanced Higher) | A level | A level | A level | A level | A2 | Advanced Higher |
*NI and Scottish children start school about a year earlier, so year labels do not line up exactly. Use age as the reference.
Structural flags (these are adaptations, not straight equivalents):
- No board sets qualifications for Years 1–9. Those materials follow the national curricula: England National Curriculum (NC) 2014, Curriculum for Wales, NI Curriculum and Scottish CfE. They prepare pupils for the boards' later qualifications rather than being produced by the boards.
- SQA is not a GCSE or A level system. National 5 is roughly GCSE level, but Higher is taken in one year (S5) and is the main university-entry qualification. Advanced Higher is roughly A level standard. See
05_Scotland_SQA. - CCEA AS counts for 40% of the A level (AS is decoupled in England) and uses the A* to G grade scale including C*.
- WJEC in Wales: the new GCSEs combine subjects, for example GCSE English Language and Literature, GCSE Mathematics and Numeracy (double award) and GCSE Integrated Science (double/single). Eduqas is WJEC's brand for England's reformed 9–1 GCSEs.
- Edexcel has no A level Computer Science (it was withdrawn). CCEA offers GCSE Digital Technology (with a Programming route) and A level Digital Technology / Software Systems Development.
3. Folder guide

4. A note on "predicted" papers
Predicted papers are practice papers written in the board's style. They follow the board's format, command words and mark tariffs, and focus on topics that come up often or haven't been tested recently. They do not predict actual exam content, and pupils should never use them as a reason to skip topics.
